Mother Earth Shawl and Scarf



The "Mother Earth Shawl" was designet for the secret knit along the"Spring Shawl Surprise" that started Jan 1st 2008.

It is a lace knitting pattern suited for intermediate to experienced lace knitters. The pattern uses more than 10 different stitches and has pattern on part of the wrong side too.


Size and yarn requirements depends on gauge, but app. 1500 m/1640 yards. Yarn with at least 800m/100g (875 yards /3.53 oz) is recommened.

  • Instructions to the Morther Earth Shawl AND Scarf


  • Mother Earth Shawl charts, 36 pages


  • Mother Earth Shawl written out instructions, 30 pages


  • Morther Earth Scarf charted and written out instructions

The pattern was originally made in two lengths. Only the long version can be purchased. Please note that the pictures seen here are from the short version. You can see the long version here or here at ravelry if you are a registered member (free).

Hi. I just purchased the Mother Earth Shawl pattern. As I was reading through the written out pattern, I think I noticed some discrepancies in the numbering. Am I seeing this correctly or am I missing something in the pattern?

Do you mean the actual pattern can be seen free at Ravelry? Because your link goesto a page with other people's finished scarves but the link to the pattern just links straight back here!
